Love Thyself!

The most important relationship we can ever have is the one we have within.  Every relationship we have with anyone else will be built upon this foundation.  Do we recognize our own Divine Spark?  If not, then we won’t recognize it in others.  Do we take the time daily to honor and love ourselves?  If not, we may become bitter and resentful of the time we give to others.  Jesus taught us to “Love thy neighbor as thyself“,  but do we really know how to love ourselves so that we can truly love others?

Mothering 3 children has been a joy, but I will fully admit, it’s also been a struggle at times.  Reflecting upon the past 16 years, I realize now how important it is to “love me” so that I can more fully love my family.  As my pediatrician would say when my daughters were babies, “If mama ain’t happy, then nobody is happy!”  So true!  Taking the time to love me – through me, and not by needing other people fill my void – has helped to bring greater love and fullness in all my relationships.

As we move through this time of change, people are finding that their relationships are shifting and many are feeling loss.  Know that the primary relationship we have is the one “Within”, where God resides in us.  Nurture and heal this relationship and everything will follow.  Meditation, Reiki, prayer, shamanic rituals, connecting with nature, yoga, etc. are some wonderful ways to nurture the relationship within yourself.  Take the time to love you!

All Level Reiki Share: For level 1,2, & 3 practitioners, the 4th Tuesday of the month. Next share Tuesday, May 22nd, 7:00 – 9:00pm. Suggested donation: $5 for building expenses. If attending, please RSVP if possible so I can plan the space accordingly.

We will have discussion time at the beginning and end of the evening for any questions people may have and the rest of the evening will be treatment time. This is a great opportunity to practice your own skills as well as receive a healing session to assist you in your own healing path so that you can be a clearer channel of Reiki energy.

The Shift in Consciousness

Many people have asked me what are the 3rd, 4th, and 5th dimensions we keep hearing about?  “Are we going somewhere?”  Yes we are, and we’re all along for the ride whether we like it or not, so we might as well work with the process to avoid more suffering!

The dimensions refer to levels of conscious awareness.  We are shifting, expanding, and raising our awareness to a higher more positive vibration.  In the process, all that needs healing (our fears, anger, anxiety, doubts, etc.) is coming to the surface to be healed and released so that we can move into creating a reality that is filled with love and joy.

So yes, we’re going to higher levels of consciousness.  The point is to create “Heaven on Earth” as many enlightened beings such as Jesus and Buddha have described before us.  To do this we must shift out of our current 3rd dimensional thinking where everything is “black/white”, good/bad, you/me, us/them, darkness/light, etc. and into the understanding that we are all made of the same Divine Essence.  Everything and everyone is Sacred and connected.

The 4th dimension is part of that process where we live in the “now” and enjoy the present moment.  Anytime we find ourselves anxious/worried about the future or feeling sad and regretful about the past, we are not in the “present moment” of the 4th dimension and therefore still playing in the 3rd dimension.

The 5th dimension is where we recognize that we are truly part of creating our reality and do so with intention.  We are beginning to feel this now and can practice it in the 4th dimension.  This is where we manifest quickly and it can feel either positive or negative.  Example, I lost my work phone a few weeks ago while biking.  I realized it was gone while I was still out on the dirt trail and I asked the Universe/God, “If it is for my highest good, please bring my phone back to me.”  Well, through a jogger named Ryan who found my phone on the trail and decided to call the home number, the Universe delivered the phone back to my house before I even got home!

I also recently manifested one of my fears/worries with a lag time of no more than 5 minutes.  Worried about spending too much money at a store, I didn’t purchase an item that my daughter needed.  By arguing with my daughter about it on the car ride home, I wasn’t in the “now” and got a speeding ticket with a price tag of $88.80 (much bigger than the price of the item I didn’t buy at the time and did later anyway).  I drew my fear to me and it felt pretty crappy, but it was a wonderful learning experience where I realized the power of my thinking and to choose better.

Living in the 4th dimension means we recognize we are no longer “victims, villians, or rescuers.”  I believe that 5D is a state of being where we live as though everything and everyone is sacred and recognize the beauty and power in every moment!  And when we are not living this way, we feel the immediate effect allowing us to choose a higher vibration.  Doing spiritual practices (such as Reiki, prayer, yoga, meditation, shamanic journey, etc) that connect us to our soul will help us to make this transition and attain this state of being. Basically 5D is living in Sacred Space as your Higher Self – as your soul fully actualized in your physical existence — a place of peace, truth, love and light!

Reminder of Upcoming Events

Spring Equinox Fire Ceremony:  Tuesday, March 20th, 6:30 – 8:00 PM.

Join Calleen for a healing fire ceremony as shared in the tradition of the Andean shamans of Peru. The fire ceremony as an opening for healing distinctive habits and patterns. Fire symbolizes the energy of transmutation — to change or alter in form, appearance, or nature and especially to a higher form.

We can use the fire ceremony as a means to ask Spirit to assist us in what we want to transmute or change within ourselves. Reflect upon and bring to the fire how we can bring our lives into “balance” or “right relationship”. Plant the seeds of vision and inspiration in your new beginnings! Feel free to bring a drum or a rattle if you have one to celebrate at the fire. Bring a friend as well!

Cost: Love donations accepted for Infinity Healing Center. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. In the event of heavy rain, a candle fire ceremony will be held indoors.

Inspirational Quote

One of the more memorable experiences in my shamanic training, was having to “put our teachers in the fire” — figuratively of course!   Sounds like a strange exercise, but the point was to remove the trappings and expectations we place around others and ourselves, and to let go of the “roles” we all play (parent, spouse, child, sibling, nurse, patient, teacher, student, lawyer, police officer, etc… and even the victim, rescuer, and villian that lives inside us).  Once we step beyond these roles, we recognize everyone’s humanness, but more importantly, we see the Divinity within that ties us all together.

We are “spiritual beings having a human experience” and without the human qualities that often frustrate and irritate us, we would not have the opportunities to truly learn unconditional love and acceptance of self and others.  By taking ownership of our own emotions and thoughts and healing them within ourselves, we are able to take down those mirrors and realize we are all much more than we can even imagine.

May you always embrace your humanity and appreciate that the experience of living a human life, with all of its wonderful “ups” as well as the not-so-fun “downs”, is bringing you closer to knowing the Divine.

Inspirational Quote

Many ancient traditions teach that the Universe is benign, meaning that our outer reality is a reflection of our inner reality.  If we see war in the world, it’s because there is war within us.  The way to peace is not to fix it “out there”, but to heal it “within” ourselves.

The judgment, anger, fighting, and hatred we see in the world is simply a projection of the deep hurt and pain people feel within themselves.  More judgment and anger cast toward others will not heal these wounds.  True healing begins within each one of us individually; it starts with self-love, acceptance, and patience.

The quote below helped me to find more self-acceptance within; which in turn allows me to extend that unconditional love to others.  “Peace begins with me,” and may it also begin with you.

This is a powerful message for us, because it makes clear that the only real problem we have is that our process is not yet complete.  That means we cannot beat ourselves up because we’re angry, sad or depressed, or because we haven’t reached our goals or benchmarks.

We’re just a work in progress.  We are the fruit not yet ripe for the picking. Would you cut down a tree because it gives unripe apples?  No. You would be patient and have trust in the process.

“Journey to Your Soul” Workshop: I am looking forward to offering this workshop again on Saturday & Sunday, March 10th & 11th, 11:00am – 4:00pm both days. Class fee: $195; includes written manual.
